Why did we create the BOSSystem?

Through our experience in dealing with business owners we’ve come to understand a few things: Entrepreneurs put everything they have into their business.  This means a sacrifice of time, energy and money.  AND, They often forget or don’t give adequate attention to structuring their savings, investments and assets, such that both their business and family wealth not only grows, but is protected.

Though there is no shortage of financial planning companies in the Toronto area, and financial planners in particular, there is a lack of advice and expertise specifically geared towards business owners and executives.  In addressing those key areas, a different set of rules and guidelines applies, than that which applies to non-executive employees.

We at ICM have found, through extensive work with our business-owning clientele, that matters of net worth are not the most important financial planning issues.  True wealth comes from Life Worth, which is the value that is given to life, and gotten from life.  Life Worth is fueled by net worth, yes, but net worth alone cannot create true wealth.  Net worth is simply a numerical measure of the difference between assets and liabilities.

Our concept of Life Worth is based on this notion: “What is essential, is invisible to the naked eye.” The truth is that these invisible assets are the real source for all the wealth we possess.

The original business idea; the courage to start that business; the networks and contacts created through the business; the creativity, determination, and persistence in making the business succeed – these things can’t be quantified on paper.  These things are what create true wealth consciousness.
